For today’s Artist Spotlight article, we’ll be discussing the fresh new single “YKTV” from talented NY artist Jaz Vernon. For today’s new addition to the Artist Spotlight series, we’ll be highlighting the talented Kay Soul & her inspiring new single titled “Anybody Out There” from earlier this month. Kay Soul is an American singer-songwriter whose music bridges the gap between traditional & contemporary R&B/Soul music. With roots in Chicago and a current base in Atlanta, she has cultivated a sound that blends gospel, hip-hop, and classic R&B influences into timeless music. Her earlier years were spent building a solid music foundation from experiences in church choirs, marching bands, etc.

We’ll be covering the debut of Portland’s next star, Malik, & his new YouTube single titled “ImPerfect.” Released back on May 9th, the record captures a nice blending of themes like growing up, chasing purpose, and coming to terms with personal flaws. Malik was impressively able to record the track in about an hour by using a beat from producer Bailey Daniels.
