Rocklin-based artist CASH L3WIS released a new song with Wiz Khalifa called “Ocarina of Time” that we’ll be reviewing in today’s article. This track delivers an anthemic experience built around sharp songwriting and impressive production. The chorus is especially catchy, as it gives the song genuine hit potential. Meanwhile, the verses showcase thoughtful self-reflection and a clear sense of direction. I particularly enjoy the clever Zelda reference in the title and how he incorporates that wordplay into the hook while reminiscing about his journey and personal growth. CASH’s delivery is direct but also benefits from melodic elements he incorporates into the song (especially the singing bridge that transitions smoothly into Wiz Khalifa’s verse). The production is easily the highlight, pairing atmospheric keys and mystical flute-like melodies with modern trap elements, subtle ear candy, hi-hat rolls, and heavy 808s. Wiz also delivers a stellar verse that complements the song’s themes without overshadowing its identity. Overall, “Ocarina Of Time” is an introspective banger that proves to be more than just a simple Zelda reference. And finally, make sure you follow CASH L3WIS on Instagram
