Ray Gibbz Keeps It All The Way Real On Brand New Song “Hope and Need”

In today’s song review article, we’ll be covering San Diego artist Ray Gibbz & his heartfelt new single “Hope and Need.” To start things off, this track is anchored by solid production that features bouncy drums, dancing percussion, and a moody soundscape. The beat is further enhanced & complemented by a subtle, melancholic piano melody that occurs occasionally throughout his verse. Lyrically, “Hope and Need” feels deeply personal and heartfelt. We hear Ray offer an honest glimpse into his current life, touching on family dynamics, sharing his career aspirations, and mounting pressure throughout his songwriting. Ray’s delivery is very lowkey and monotone, too, as it aligns well with the emotional tone of the song (despite feeling somewhat repetitive at times). His flow follows a stream-of-consciousness style & effectively turns his racing thoughts into a cohesive verse. And while the vocal mix could be slightly cleaner, his performance is extremely cohesive throughout its runtime. Overall, “Hope and Need” might be one of the best songs to introduce Ray Gibbz to new listeners, as he does a great job at painting true authenticity with his words. And finally, make sure you follow Ray Gibbz on Spotify
